Representatives of Ukraine 3000 Fund Visit Children’s Hospitals in California
February 19, 2007, Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk and Head of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund Vira Pavliuk visited the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Representatives of the Fund were given a tour of the hospitals’ facilities and talked to the doctors and patients. In course of their meetings with the hospitals’ management, they have arranged training for Ukrainian doctors at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center children’s hospital is one of the oldest and biggest medical institutions in the US West. Its 12,000 staff workers render medical assistance to over 300,000 patients per year. The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which is over a hundred years old, receives over 11,000 patients every year. This pediatric institution is renowned for its educational and research programs in many fields of medical science.
Representatives of the Ukraine 3000 Fund are visiting Los Angeles, Ca., USA, on an invitation from the California Association to Aid Ukraine. February 17, 2007, they attended the Benefit Ball organized by CAAU. The funds raised in course of the ball will be used to arrange training in California for Ukrainian doctors who will work at the Childrens Hospital of the Future and member hospitals of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund’s Hospital to Hospital Program.
